UNDERGROUND CIVILIZATION: D.C. Death Metal in the 90's

UNDERGROUND CIVILIZATION spotlights a subculture: the Washington D.C. death metal scene in the 1990's. Part retrospective, part time machine, the 100 minute documentary focuses on the three most influential bands in D.C. during the 90's (Deceased, Abominog and Morbius), the clubs and parties where these bands played, and offers anecdotes, stories and varying perspectives on the pivotal events that led to the demise of what was once a powerful and popular live music scene.

GUERILLA SHORTS

GUERILLA SHORTS: THE DOCUMENTARY is a feature length biopic about the evolution and marketing of a reality TV series by an unknown production company from the Washington, DC suburbs. After four painful, frustrating years of development, and shooting two self-funded pilot episodes, the creators (Andy and Matt Sylvester), newly acquired on screen talent (former adult film actress Nicki Hunter), and the primary cinematographer (Danny Davidson) reveal the cold reality associated with trying to sell a reality series to television networks. From the company's chaotic early days as naive, unorganized filmmakers to the present day, where the Guerilla Shorts concept is being revised again in preparation for new pitches, we explore the true meaning of “development hell”.

As he's shaving and dressing for the day, a breaking news report comes on the radio about an escaped serial killer named Karl Decker, who has been on the loose for six weeks after escaping from a mental hospital. Local authorities believe that he may be connected to several more murders.

The news anchor acknowledges a field reporter, who is live from Healy Hall on the campus of Georgetown University. After a decade of incarceration, he finally escaped by strangling his psychiatrist and bludgeoning two guards to death.

As the report continues, Randy gets in his car and drives off. As he drives, his surroundings become more and more rural. After a short while, he pulls over to check a map.
